Although the Quantock Hills are a safe area for walking you are strongly advised to take out your own holiday insurance for all Walks & Forks holidays to cover yourself and your personal possessions while on holiday.
We do not accept liability for the personal injury of any participant, however caused, or for any property belonging to or travelling with a participant.
The walks are designed to be 'day walks' which will cover approximately eight miles per day. The terrain can be varied with some walks including paths on a steep gradient. Uneven ground and at times muddy ground are all part of the variety of walking on the Quantock Hills. For these reasons we suggest you will enjoy your holiday to the full if you arrive with a good level of general fitness and bring appropriate walking gear. This includes strong walking boots that you have already worn in! A rainproof coat and fleece, walking trousers and a small rucksack. A more comprehensive list will be sent with booking confirmation.
To secure a place on a Walks & Forks holiday a minimum £50 deposit is required with your booking. This is non-refundable.
Full payment for the holiday should be received no later than one month before the holiday commences.
In the event that you cancel after this period or fail to turn up you will forfeit all payments. However if we can re-sell your holiday after cancellation we will give credit for the holiday less the £50 deposit. However we may be able to defer your deposit to another holiday in the same year if we are able to fill your original booking.
Any holiday cancelled by Walks & Forks due to unforeseeable circumstances another holiday will be offered or all payments refunded.
Walks & Forks reserves the right to cancel holidays with less than four participants up until one week before the holiday.
We cannot adjust the original price of the holiday if you arrive late, leave early or if you decide not to participate in all the planned walks or activities.
All participants will receive a booking form which must be signed and returned with the deposit.
